Riley Blank’s Solo Exhibition

Alongside Riley’s work as founder and principal artist at Woke Beauty, she has independently produced a self portrait series entitled MANIFEST. MANIFEST will be on display at Miranda Bennett Studio through March 29th, with plans for further expansion.

“Manifest speaks to the lack of authentic representation of women of color in Austin and further, our country at large. Through compelling imagery and writing, I dispel the notion that in order for black and brown women to be acknowledged in a metropolis, they must faultlessly perform. The hopeful message behind my series proclaims that women of color have the capacity to claim space…with their presence alone.”
