Welcome to your very own Woke Beauty Membership. I’m so glad you’re here! If you’re anything like the other beautiful go getters in this collective, you’ve got some big intentions coupled with loads of questions. I get it. This is new and exciting and overwhelming and just like anything that fits that description the undoubtable questions are…how do we get started and what’s next?! With that spirit, here are some answers to your most frequently asked questions plus some.
What do I wear?
The most important questions (I know, I know, more questions) to consider here are:
What makes you feel good?
What do you think best compliments your shape?
What are your brand’s/business’/blog’s/etc’s colors? Vibe?
Do you have a specific style or go to ‘uniform’? (that’s a big fat no for me…)
Typically, I recommend staying away from items that ‘balloon’ like…mumus, oversized dresses or boyfriend shirts. These tend to translate as larger than life in photographs and almost always yield ‘I wish I hadn’t worn that!’
Love your body. Show us your body!
I recommend staying away from neon colors, black, horizontal stripes, wild patterns and, did I mention…mumus?
Consider consulting Instagram, Pinterest or your very own stylist. I highly recommend Elyse Holladay; she’s a member turned friend so I’m biased…but just take a gander at her feed. It’s filled with knowledge, inspiration and tactics for a wardrobe that makes your life more seamless and integrated.

Think about environmental aspects: urban vs. nature, a moody coffee shop vs. a modern hotel, props, your studio, your home, your friend’s home (lol but seriously)
How do I plan and what do I shoot?
I highly recommend making a mood board using the beloved Pinterest. Here’s an example (I made this one for me…hehe).
Subjects range from: yourself, your product, your friends, your family, your dog/s, close ups of whatever makes you glow (books, knick knacks, places)
Think outside of the box and feel free to propose ideas…for example, a member just started shooting video with me as she wanted to diversify her feed and make it more dynamic
Still a little foggy? That’s. Ok. Be gentle with yourself and trust the process. Even if you show up without a clue, you’ll leave with content…cause you got me. Duh! :)

Membership Terms & Conditions
As a reminder, here are the membership terms & conditions you agreed to when you signed up.
➳ Travel included in a 10-mile radius of South Congress, Austin; any travel outside of radius is $10/mile.
➳ Members and photographer (Riley Blanks) have shared rights to images; both parties may use the images across web, social and print platforms whether for branding, publishing or any other need.
➳ Locations are to be decided between client and Riley whether at client's home, in studio or any public space.
➳ Membership automatically renews.
➳ To update or change your billing method, please update your online account immediately.
➳ Memberships may not be frozen.
➳ To cancel, contact Riley at riley@wokebeauty.co. A 30-day written notice is required to cancel. If you cancel a membership, you will lose your existing rate.
➳ If your billing date is less than 30 days from your notice date, you will be charged for one final month.
➳ If your monthly auto-payment fails for any reason, then your membership may be cancelled and/or you may be assessed a fee.
➳ If you are unable to schedule one or both sessions within your month, unless due to life emergency or sickness, you may not roll them over to the next month. This policy will be strictly enforced.
➳ If Riley is unable to fulfill services due to life emergency, sickness or any other unpredictable reason, all sessions will rollover.
➳ If you need to cancel your session, please do so 72 hours + before your session. Should you cancel within 72 hours, that session is no longer valid.
➳ If Riley needs to cancel your session, for any unpredictable reason, she may reschedule 72 hours + before your session. Should she cancel within 72 hours, you may re-book that session.
➳ Cancellations must be made via email.
Description + Payment Schedule
➳ THE AMBER
One 60 minute photoshoot session/month
If you chose monthly: $475/month with a 3-month commitment to be paid once every month after the initial payment is made
If you chose bi-monthly: $475 every 6 weeks with a 6-month commitment to be paid once every month after the initial payment is made
If you chose quarterly: $475/quarter with a 12-month commitment to be paid once every month after the initial payment is made
Membership will begin from date of 1st payment
Initial payment must be made immediately after the agreement is signed in order to book your spot
20 edited images per session delivered within 1 week
➳ THE EMERALD
One 60 minute photoshoot session/month AND one 1-hour creativity consultation/month
If you chose monthly: $725/ month with a 3-month commitment to be paid once every month after the initial payment is made
If you chose bi-monthly: $725 every 6 weeks with a 6-month commitment to be paid once every month after the initial payment is made
If you chose quarterly: $725/quarter with a 12-month commitment to be paid once every month after the initial payment is made
Membership will begin from date of 1st payment
Initial payment must be made immediately after the agreement is signed in order to book your spot
20 edited images per session delivered within 1 week
At the time of purchase, you authorized Woke Beauty to charge dues as listed above to your credit card each month OR 6 weeks OR quarter on the day you signed up. You recognized that my first payment was due upon signature to secure your rate. You understand that unless you cancel your membership after your 3 month commitment, Woke Beauty will continue to charge your account as stated above or may cancel your membership in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement.
